Our worship team helps everyone to get to know and love God better. We plan and lead some of our collective worship. We write prayers for our big celebrations and lead the lunchtime prayers.
We are always looking for new and exciting ways to praise God and this year have developed our reflective worship which is a great time for thinking about all the great things God does for us and asking Him for help when we need it.
We have worked with our Christian distinctiveness advisor to explore outdoor worship, we are excited to implement this in our school.
We also investigated different activities for our prayer spaces. One of our favourites was making a heart collage using natural materials. We discussed that it was unique, just like God had made each of us to be unique. We liked blowing bubbles, we looked at the bubbles and reflected on all the people in our lives that we were thankful for.
Examples of our Worship
During Worship we learnt about the Parable of the Sower. When the sower throws his seeds onto dry ground, among thorns, and onto rocks, they do not grow. It is only when he throws them on good soil that he yields a crop. We had lots of discussions about what this might mean and how we could apply what we had learnt to our own lives.
