Each academic year children vote to select a girl and a boy from every year group to represent them on the School Council.

These children then meet regularly to discuss ideas of changes or improvements to school life.

Last year the council were very involved in the creation of our new pirate ship; formulating ideas, designing the layout and persuading the Friends to donate funds.

Toilet Twinning

We have been learning that in some countries people do not have access to a proper toilet or clean water. We found out about the impact of this on their lives.

As a school we wanted to raise some money to twin our toilets. It was decided that we would have a poo Olympics and children could pay to play the games!

School council helped to run the event. We had great fun.

We ‘fished for floaters’, threw a poo into an actual toilet, played ‘pin the poo on the toilet’ and much more! This money will fund a project in a community that helps families to build their own basic toilet and have access to clean water.

Thank you to all who helped in anyway.
