About Us

The Friends of Horton St. Michael’s (FHSM) has very positive and active presence in the school.

Made up largely of parents, they hold regular meetings and organise many varied fundraising events throughout the year. The money raised is used to help purchase resources to support and enrich the curriculum, improve the buildings and grounds as well as supporting the costs of extra curricular activities such as trips, workshops and plays.  This year the Friends raised £8,600 for our school.

They also organise activities for the children such as craft afternoons for Mothers and Fathers Day and Pancake Day races as well as running our Summer and Christmas  fairs. The many social events organised by the Friends help to make our school the special place it is and foster very positive relationships between staff, parents, children and the local community.
