Last week The Friends of Horton St Michael's set a 100km challenge for the children. They could walk, cycle, scoot or even hop and any km completed would be added together to reach the total.
We are incredibly proud of the children for rising to the challenge, especially as the weather wasn't great for most of the week!
Here is the final message from The Friends Team....
We just wanted to thank you all so much for embracing this challenge. You have done such a fantastic job. We have loved seeing pictures of you all and getting back our lovely school community spirit. We have a total........ 286km in one week!! And Mr Wolvers has done 149km on his own this week 😮 so we have an enormous grand total of 435km. 🎉🎉 That's just incredible. 🏆
All of our children should be very proud of themselves.
We have also raised a lot of money in the process which is very exciting for our school too. If you still want to add a bit to it, we will be leaving the Justgiving site open for one more week.
Thank you. 😁
Here are just a few of the photos we received!

The mini topic for Maple Class this week has been Disney - who doesn't need a bit of Disney magic in their life?
The children looked at Pocahontas, which linked with thier Spring Term topic of USA and Native Americans, and did a comprehension exercise on the Colors of the Wind song as well as other Disney related tasks.
Miss Royall challenged the children to draw a Disney character and these are just a few of them.

Greetings from the Governors!
At last week's governing body meeting - zoomed, of course! – we all wanted to send a message of appreciation to our school community. Thanks, and not a little admiration, to the staff for their dedication, hard work and creative response to keeping the children involved in learning.
Thanks also to the parents who've joined in this effort, working really hard to make sure their children are engaged in their education whilst also juggling all the other changes this crisis has thrust on us all. The staff have felt truly supported in this unusual time.
We are looking forward to seeing the children back, and send good wishes to those leaving this July.
